Mama’s Love annual event is back again, in its eighth iteration. This year, I am treating my clients and friends to free Mother’s Day portraits in Poconos. Plus, I also invite all my neighbors to enjoy an 80% discount! Neither client nor neighbor, but a mom? Come, anyway, and see what I offer!
The History of Free Mother’s Day Portraits in Poconos
Our free Mother’s Day portraits annual event was conducted in 2012-2017 in NYC. I opened Zorz Studios branch in Poconos in 2018, but the following few years were so hectic that I skipped the event. Then the 2020 lockdown hit. Then, came time to revive this sweet experience. As I continued to meet people around my new community, I started with free Mother’s Day portraits in Poconos in 2021 in my new Dingmans Ferry, PA studio branch. In 2022 I was working on Mother’s Day weekend and had to skip it.
I am working Mother’s Day weekend out of town this year again, but not wanting to skip again, offering an alternative date, in hopes that at least some may take advantage!
WHEN: The free Mother’s Day portraits event will take place on Friday, May 12, 2023.
WHERE: Zorz Studios’ Poconos branch, 167 Lakewood Drive, Dingmans Ferry, PA.
FOR WHOM: Moms, moms, moms! Send your mom or bring her along with you. If you’re a mother, come and bring your kids. The event is about mothers so moms have to be in all shots, in any groupings up to 5 people.
The idea of free Mother’s Day portraits in Poconos is as simple as a hug: your mother comes, I photograph her, do basic retouch, and prepare one free 8×12 printed portrait available for free pickup or delivered for a shipping fee.
Is It Free for All? Am I Your Friend?
The session itself is free for all. But please note, the prints are not free for everyone. This is a client and friends appreciation event—they get those prints! However, I don’t want to limit this event to just friends and clients. Here’s who else and what can get that day:
- Clients and Friends. This campaign goes back to a customer appreciation event so the free offer extends to all Zorz Studios’ clients whose portraits I photographed or am booked to. Clients from all NY/NJ/PA/CT locations and occasions qualify, including free Poconos projects like Porch Portraits, Halloween Portraits, Pike County Boudoir Photoshoot Raffle, Grads Car Parade, and the Pike Gymnastics Academy photography event. If you and I worked or are working on a shoot, you’re my client and qualify for free Mother’s Day portraits in Poconos!
The past three years of living in the Wild Acres community of Dingmans Ferry, PA brought about a fair share of new treasured friendships, those that led to helping each other in need, meeting and chatting for hours, eating together, visiting, having kid playdates, etc. I want to show my appreciation to such friends in the same way. (Sorry, becoming Facebook “friend” is not there yet 🙂 )
- Neighbors. If you live in Wild Acres but we haven’t got to work together, or become friends yet, I’d like to do something good for you, too. Let me take 80% off and give your mom (or you as a mom) that free photo session and a printed 8×12 portrait for just $9, available for free pickup or delivered for a shipping fee. Because I want to give priority to my actual neighbors, bring a utility bill or driver’s license—any proof of local address—and we’re in business! Otherwise, we still have an affordable option left.
- Others. If you aren’t my client and live outside of Wild Acres, I’ll be happy to offer the same free mini-session to you, retouch your favorite image, and print it on 8×12 for $49. Whether you live in nearby communities or visit Poconos that day, stop by!
Add-ons
Prints will be available for free pickup a few weeks after the event. Delivery is available for S&H fee of $10. You may also order all images in high resolution for a separate fee. Payment, if any, will be collected in cash on the spot. Here’s a summary:
Scheduling Your Shoot
The demand for these free Mother’s Day portraits in Poconos was high last time, so I allocate spots accordingly. Each session is 20 minutes long, of which about 10 will be for the actual posing and shooting. If the day gets packed, we’ll be moving in and out quickly to avoid crowding. If not, we’ll have time to chat around your shoot!
To keep things fair and in order, every participant/group will be attended to strictly at a designated time slot. To schedule your time slot, please use the online appointment tool below. If you need to reschedule, use the link emailed to you after booking.
If you arrive early, kindly wait outside. The waiting area is outdoors by the covered entrance with a pleasant lake view. The parking area is also ample, or wait by the playground on the side yard (play, too!)

Past Free Mother’s Day Portraits in Poconos Event
We had almost 30 signed up families last time! That’s some 75-100 people to see smiling in front of my camera that day! It was hectically fun! 🙂 Half of them were clients and close friends, about the other half were my community neighbors, plus a few new people living elsewhere or visiting Poconos for the Mother’s Day weekend.
