The tale of flying guitars, insanely started in a nightclub, unfolds into a slightly more civil sequel—a rocking wedding.
Well, if not the guitars, at least I flew twice for this couple: first for their on-stage hardcore engagement session in Pittsburgh, PA in May, and now to Rochester, NY. Yes, as you can see, the some of the smashing guitars from the engagement session made their quick but honorable appearance.
Rachel is a makeup artist and hair stylist of Contrast Hair and Makeup whom I met in Mexico when shooting a destination wedding coupled with an underwater trash-the-dress shoot. She was my client’s MUA and fell in love with my work, I believe. 🙂
This was another quick back-and-forth trip for me, traveling the morning and night of the wedding. Rachel and Aaron chose a spectacular and opportunity-rich location at Bristol Harbor Resort in picturesque Canandaigua, NY and as I was taking a cab from the airport, could not stop catching the sights of worn barns, green hills, and a vast expanse of nature of the Finger Lake country. Alas, it started to rain and got only worse by the time I arrived to the resort… We got stuck inside.
Not the fun and silliness, though! The overall ambiance was super relaxed and unrushed. With that—and giddy friends, family, and guests—this rocking wedding was a sheer joy and pleasure to document. Plus, I got my reception seat with the fun peeps from the aforementioned Mexican wedding!
