On occasion, artists get together for a fun little project. This year’s cold winter called for a snow angel.
Such was the occasion when a mutual friend introduced me to a hair stylist and AR Studio Salon owner Arman. We liked each other’s work a lot and decided to do something of our own, also involving a makeup artist / body painter Anna Krivonos.
I’ve been eyeing a solid winter-themed shoot entire season, and even managed to get a frigid boudoir shoot for one tough client (from which I can only show one image for now). However, I wanted to do something crazier, and the stars seemed to have aligned, including the record-breaking snowy winter this year. Unfortunately, the temperature dropped way too low on our set date, putting our model beyond the comfort level even for a snow angel: windchill factor -10F (-23C), a record since 1930s… I surely had an über cool location in mind but the backup plan called for the studio instead, with dramatic lighting on the upside. So… try turning your imagination on and surround this beauty with a virtual deep freeze.
