Thanksgiving, commonly attributed in the US to a 1621 celebration, was prompted by a particularly good harvest that year. Pilgrims and Puritans brought the tradition of Days of Thanksgiving from England but such Days had not been scheduled and could be called for at different times of a year, following significant events. It was G. Washington who proclaimed the first nation-wide thanksgiving celebration in November 1789:
“as a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favours of Almighty God”
On behalf of Zorz Studios, I express my gratitude to everyone who gave their thoughts, kind words, referrals, time, joy, love, business, and an opportunity to serve. May your hearts be filled with warmth and serenity.
