I want to leave a trace in this world… through photography which may turn into a historical record or a work of art, inhabiting someone’s heart — beating faster and feeling warmer, outliving mine… through my volunteering for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS), a national group of elite photographers healing trauma of parents who lost their children… through my participation in Operation Smile, donating the entire proceeds from the Family Portraiture Month sessions to support plastic surgeries for children.
I want to make giving back an integral part of who I am and the way I do business, regardless of economic conditions. Zorz Studios is proud to announce a new “Feel Bigger in Heart” program. Within its framework, part of the proceeds from every wedding package will be donated to charities that are making a difference. During Zorz Studios’ experience, clients will have an option to select one of the charities listed below, otherwise determined by the studio. My initial goal is to donate at least $3,000 this year.
These charities were carefully picked by me to reflect not only my beliefs and affinity, but also their good performance, indicated by such quantities as high fundraising efficiency and program expenses (spending on the programs and services they exist to deliver), as well as the capacity ranking and low administrative expenses.*
- Doctors Without Borders — founded in 1990 in New York City to raise funds, create awareness, recruit field staff, and advocate with the United Nations and US government on humanitarian concerns. It assists victims of disasters and conflicts worldwide by providing aid in nearly 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, negligence, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.
- American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) — founded in 1866, its mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. The ASPCA provides national leadership in anti-cruelty, animal behavior, humane education, government affairs and public policy, shelter support, and animal poison control. The NYC headquarters houses a full-service animal hospital and adoption facility. The Humane Law Enforcement department enforces New York’s animal cruelty laws.
- Greenpeace Fund — promotes Greenpeace’s mission to halt environmental destruction and to promote solutions for future generations through public education, grassroots lobbying and grants to other environmental organizations. One of Greenpeace’s unique strengths is its capacity to conduct international campaigns in countries around the world, giving the ability to challenge environmental threats and promote change on issues that transcend national borders and require international cooperation.
Zorz Studios brand stands for more than artistic and unique photography, it symbolizes our commitment to you, to our community, our planet…
