Shooting baby twins means fun children photography but when you also add a toy dog, you have to stop shooting periodically, to let the spasmodic giggles let go of your poor belly.
I had a pleasure of photographing these boys’ parents’ wedding several years ago. Their mom was that crafty bride who, without warning, fell in the ocean during a beach portraiture session moments before the wedding ceremony, in front of many shocked guests (see one of the images at the end). Turns out she planned it all out and prepared a second dress. Mind you, all without telling us.
So time came for her babies’ shoot. 🙂 No shocking surprises this time but what an adorable live prop! Could not resist asking to make him part of a shoot. Working with one baby could be difficult for catching moments, two of them make it a bit more difficult, while syncing all three pairs of eyes turned to be impossible even after a very patient hunt and lots of funny noises coming out of me. The adventure exhausted the boys and they just like-mindedly called it a day in my last set.
Here is one of the images from mom’s wedding day. Thinking that the worst that could have happened, happened, I ran into the ocean after her, sporting the squishing shoes for the rest of the day, including the ceremony and reception. Unlike the smart beautiful bride, I did not foresee a need for extra pair of shoes and socks…
