Eh… I think I let an iMac into my studio… I could never catch the Mac fever and still don’t feel it. This (my fingers are begging to type something short like “PC”) computer was bought for a very specific purpose – an alternative to projecting my work during ordering process. I am yet to see if I “convert” to it otherwise. At the moment, I don’t feel comfortable with it yet, for obvious reasons. Will I be able to mess around with system’s registry and DLL files? Guess not. I guess it will lead to less worries, too. And will all my applications run on it? I know so little about Macs.
Anyway, here’s the animal: 24-inch display, 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 500GB Serial ATA 7200 rpm hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS with 512MB memory, 1066MHz system bus. And if you knew for how much I got this brand-new beauty, you’d kill me from envy. Too bad it was a one-time deal.
Another thing I am sad and happy about at the same time is the lack of a huge tower to dig into. 🙂 Say, like my ABS custom system which is still my primary machine. It is so wild that has to be cooled down by 5 vents… And it’s black! Ah, well…
