Consensual: Conceptual Boudoir Marathon 2018 by Zorz Studios (1)

Conceptual boudoir marathon isn’t something you get to hear of a lot, let alone experience. Zorz Studios invites to it those who are ready to get bold and step away from the cliche, for half the price!

Every other girl expresses a concern about her look before my photo shoot. Every girl is ecstatic after. Photographer matters.

Ed, founder

My wife and I realize that this conceptual boudoir marathon will not be easy to sell as it isn’t for everyone, even in New York metropolitan area. Let us try. We believe there can be six bold souls this year who will agree with the following. After doing these annual boudoir marathons since 2012, I feel that even though I push for creativity, the general expectations are the same… similar feel, similar props, similar expressions, similar poses. Absolutely gorgeous and something any woman should do at least once in her life but… Google “boudoir photography” and try finding images that aren’t done by thousands other boudoir photographers in New York or anywhere else.

As I was putting together the promo slideshow and looking at my past boudoir images, it occurred to me: why not step away from all the cliche vision and go bold, go nude in a conceptual way? Just as an experiment, with a fair right for failure, not because of my lack of conceptual experience in boudoir photography but because of uncertainty and comfort level of the participants willing to sign up.

We are looking for those who want more than banal boudoir photography. We want to delicately work with the brave souls who are proud to present their bodies as the work of art, as Nature’s masterpiece. This year’s conceptual boudoir marathon is not about necklaces, pearls, fish nets, corsets, or lacy lingerie… Leave those for another year or photographer (however, nude color plain lingerie, indistinguishable from the skin, can be strategically beneficial and help someone!) As far as conceptual photography is involved, the less, the better. Simplicity and minimalism are the key.

What I am willing to arrange for this year’s conceptual boudoir marathon is a little arsenal of trade tools and props along with special lighting equipment to re-create the imagery seen above, elevating the art of female form from the partner’s or girlfriends’ level bound to your bedroom or a girls’ night-out to the world-class fine art worthy of the finest book or wall prints, at least in principle (you are not expected to share with the world, mind you). Although the nature of any boudoir marathon assumes a very quick progression, I will set up several creative islands to achieve a variety of concepts, and each client will be given an opportunity to work with at least 2-3 of them within her own private hour of shooting.

If you are new to Zorz Studios, get an overall feel of our style and approach to previous boudoir marathons and dedicated boudoir sessions in this video:

We will be taking care of your makeup and hair, setting up the studio lights, then styling and tastefully photographing you in the finest and most conceptualized way produced in any of Zorz Studios boudoir marathons! True to the tradition, this brand treatment will be offered at the same lovingly discounted price—a full day of fun, excitement, sexiness, creativity, and above all, conceptual art! In the spirit of editorial fashion shoots, a creative team of professionals will realize your dream of being the sexiest your lover has possibly ever seen! Make it a unique gift for them or—demand this as a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for yourself!

Regularly starting at $800 with hair and makeup, all of the following is yours for just $395!

  • private 1-hour photo session by a fashion and fine art photographer featured on the cover of Grace Ormonde boudoir editorialVogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Huffington Post, Maxim, et al
  • a simultaneous alternative vision and lighting by my wife as a second photographer who will also attend to any intimate arrangements (I can respectably step away)
  • glamorous makeup by a professional makeup artist
  • fabulous hair by a professional hair dresser
  • private password-protected online gallery
  • ten beauty-retouched images in high resolution available (yes!) prior to Valentine’s Day
  • optional prints, book, gallery wrap, etc. (we will try having them at hand by Valentine’s Day, subject to workload)
  • incredible confidence boost and a subject of girlfriends’ envy
  • pride and desire on one’s face when they get the best Valentine’s Day gift ever dreamed of… smoking hot, high fashion, conceptual and enticing photographs of you!

To preserve and devour your gift in fashion, upgrade your collection to a photo art book with quality that is not offered by the consumer-oriented print labs so if you think beyond flipping through the smartphone’s screen or sporting a cheap Snapfish book, this is the way art presentation is meant to be. Highlighting ten of your sexiest retouched photographs, this haute art book costs $400 but as part of the event, it will be yours for only $195, completing your experience in style. And here’s a sweet part—with your book order, not ten, but all images will be yours in high resolution. Without the book, the full session’s electronic image set is available for $200.

DATE: This year, we want you to have the images by the Valentine’s Day! What a gift!! To give us time to prepare the exquisite photos, the boudoir marathon will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2018 (SOLD OUT) Sunday, January 28, 2018 in a spacious multi-room midtown Manhattan dance studio.

BOOKING: To begin this truly one-of-a-kind experience, click the link below, review the options, and submit your request. Before we grant a spot and accept the deposit, we will need to check availability and contact you to schedule your photoshoot and answer any questions (we are sure there will be plenty this time). A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required and bookings will be honored in the order they are received until all six slots are claimed. We did extend one past boudoir marathon to two booked-up days but there are no plans for the extension this year, so consider acting quickly. Taxes and optional book shipping are extra.

Step up the game and say “no” to cliche boudoir photography this year!

UPDATE 01/18/18: Two spots got booked hours after the announcement and two other ladies are asking about the following day availability due to their schedule conflict. Looks like the concept is appealing which gives us hopes and honor to be trusted. Due to rental expenses, the following day (Sunday) will be offered only if Saturday books up, so let’s see how it goes. Thank you everyone!

UPDATE 01/22/18: The event is now sold out and seeing a continued flow of inquiries, we are extending it for one more day, Sunday, January 28, 2018. If you could not make it on Saturday, let us know, please. We have a few spots for Sunday left.

UPDATE 02/14/18: And the results are in! Check out what we pulled off.
