After three long years, the famous Zorz Studios’ contest is back! The tradition will go on, and I am pleased to announce my next EngagEd contest, in which I give away a complimentary engagement session (and more!) not to one, but two lucky winners!

This has been a relatively relaxing week-end, sort of… Well, I didn’t sleep on Friday night, working on putting together a slideshow for Mena and Ashwin 9 PM to 9 AM. Then took a nap, worked a bit, and went to shoot an engagement session for Anastasia and Robert. I’ll get to them in moment [...]

My summer/spring calendar got so booked up that I am having to combine some smaller shoots such as e-sessions in one day. Such was the day of July 19, when I enjoyed shooting Pamela and Steve, then Nancy and Brian, just following the day of big production for Julia and Gino.

What a power week-end the past one was… Three engagement sessions, one being quite a production — eight people involved, 150-mile trip on three cars, 22 hours with little or no sleep. And all that to cover just 3/4 of the session. Julia and Gino are among the lucky winners of Zorz Studios’ free engagement [...]

Another successful realization of a tough request… Meet Irina and Igor, a young couple whose wedding we are shooting early September 2009. They contacted me in May seeing if I can do an engagement session for them, initially not included in the package. A tough part was that they wanted “something a little more exciting [...]

The afternoon of May 9th, 2009, the Day of Great Victory, was spent in Manhattan shooting two sessions. I started with driving to our studio on Broadway where I soon met Alina and Radion whose wedding I shot two months ago. Hmm, that was also a notable holiday, International Women’s Day. The guys must love [...]

Writing while in Albany attending Professional Photographers Society of NY State convention. Here’s a glimpse of my 3-day trip to Jamaica to shoot the wedding of Maya and Stan. The length of stay and the environment offered a plethora of photo ops, from picturesque to risky… there went trash-the-dress and a local variation of their engagement [...]

This is a sneak preview of an elaborate retro photo session shot past Saturday. I am so ecstatic to be able to organize and pull it off! The session, based on our own script, develops a dramatic love story in 1930s’ Brooklyn. A great amount of effort, passion, skill, equipment, and investment was put into [...]

As if I didn’t have enough of Hensel… I already have a 4-head monolight studio set with Hensel’s lightboxes and softboxes, sized from medium to huge. This set has been serving me great in studio and on location indoors but here comes my first project requiring same studio quality outdoors. I’ve been eying their new [...]

More than two months of anxiety are over. I am excited to announce the winners of Zorz Studios’ EngagEd contest, opened on November 15, 2008. Dozens of entrants with their vision of an engagement session, four finalists, more than 600 of voters, and now, the Grand Prix winner and two runner-ups!

…I am writing this as I’m sitting in a Florida resort… Just cannot hold the result of today’s engagement session to myself. Meet Erica and Elkin, a beautiful couple whose wedding I will shoot next March in West Palm Beach, FL. Fashionable, hip, and sexy. That’s them. That’s the theme of their session, shot in [...]

This image from the series “Heirdom of Atlantis” won the first place in Fotki’s Blue Ribbon contest. Fotki is a digital photo sharing, video sharing and media social network website and web service suite; it is one of the world’s largest social networking sites. Founded in 1998, Fotki helped me introduce myself to the world [...]

The time has come! I am excited to announce Zorz Studios’ first contest, EngagEd, in which I give away a complimentary engagement session (and more!) to three lucky winners!

. An evening e-session for my October wedding clients in Central Park, Manhattan. We only had one hour before the sun set behind the clouds, stealing another hour or so of the sunset from us…
