Confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can have. It’s much sexier than any body part.

Calling for all adventurous minds!
This time has come again! After the smashing success of the free engagement session contest a year ago, I am über excited to announce Zorz Studios’ next contest, TrashEd, in which we give away complimentary trash-the-dress sessions, photo books, and even free wedding coverage to three lucky winners!

[...]

People heard I did it… A maternity session in Alaska. They hear the rumors of it being shot on top of an Alaskan mountain in unpredictable October, on her 9th month… They can’t wait to see… For now, I will only say it happened and the image above is real. The rest of this amazing [...]

My old friend and client Daria, whose wedding I shot past week-end, was enlightened few months ago by an idea of giving a gift of photography art to her maid of honor Julia. Julia is pregnant and lives in Chicago but contributed a tremendous amount of time and effort to helping Daria with her wedding [...]

On the same day following a session for Daria, I shot another bridal session for Vanessa, a fine wedding photographer. Her wedding isn’t until December so I have to keep her bridal gown profile as low as possible for now.
I met this gorgeous young lady at celebrity photographers Mike Colon / Bob Davis’ workshop in [...]

Following a grandiose Gothic Renaissance photo session and a short sleep, we headed to the next artistic session that week-end, unaware of how hyper-intensive it will become. Looking back, I might say it was the most exhausting non-wedding gig I have done so far. By end of the day, I was falling asleep, not quite [...]

Few months ago, Olga and I were in the East Village looking for props for our DragonChik body art photo session. It is then when we walked into an astonishing boutique, Gothic Renaissance, and met two managers, Laramie and Stitch. A word by word, we ended up talking about a joint project, portraying them in [...]

What a power week-end the past one was… Three engagement sessions, one being quite a production — eight people involved, 150-mile trip on three cars, 22 hours with little or no sleep. And all that to cover just 3/4 of the session.
Julia and Gino are among the lucky winners of Zorz Studios’ free engagement [...]

Another successful realization of a tough request… Meet Irina and Igor, a young couple whose wedding we are shooting early September 2009. They contacted me in May seeing if I can do an engagement session for them, initially not included in the package. A tough part was that they wanted “something a little more exciting [...]

Few months ago when I discussed an artistic nude session for one of the clients, an idea came to me to involve a body art painter who recently moved to the US and came across my way during a preparation for another elaborate session. The idea was enthusiastically accepted and soon Olga and I [...]

Our friend and extraordinary artist, Anastasia Durasova, had a gig last night at Greenhouse. Recently moved from Moscow, Russia, this talented and renowned body art painter showed off her skills at Made in Russia party, produced by SashasPromotions and Anastasia’s husband, photographer Michael Bernadsky. We had a pleasure of watching her masterpieces created on the [...]

My trip overseas right after a 2-day photo tour to California in mid-May caused a delay in posting a sneak preview of this magnificent session. So here it is now. More details and samples will follow.
06/19/09 update: The session was conducted in a similar way with our iconic Heirdom of Atlantis project so I will [...]

It gives me a great pleasure to announce the expansion of Zorz Studios’ presence and opening operations in the heart of New York City, Manhattan’s Flatiron district. In a special collaboration arrangement with virtuosi and celebrity makeup artists Anne DeMarco and Charles Douglas of Rouge Makeup Studio, we now offer a new convenient location to [...]

As much as I want to say about this image and the others created past Wednesday, I am holding on to the story until a news release. My preparations to a bridal show in two days and a need to finish one project stop me from elaborating just yet… Check back in a few days. [...]

This is a sneak preview of an elaborate retro photo session shot past Saturday. I am so ecstatic to be able to organize and pull it off! The session, based on our own script, develops a dramatic love story in 1930s’ Brooklyn. A great amount of effort, passion, skill, equipment, and investment was put into [...]

Another public sample from one of my Married and Sexy campaign sessions, offering boudoir sessions primarily to married ladies. This is Julia, a wonderful person and mother of two. She was one of the most prepared clients, scoring an A for her homework. Her husband joined for several shots as well.
The only regret was [...]

As if I didn’t have enough of Hensel… I already have a 4-head monolight studio set with Hensel’s lightboxes and softboxes, sized from medium to huge. This set has been serving me great in studio and on location indoors but here comes my first project requiring same studio quality outdoors. I’ve been eying their [...]

Olga and I did a Married and Sexy boudoir session for a lovely couple, Alena and Aleksandr. Part of the session reflected their love for Japanese culture. Noteworthy, Aleksandr is a master of martial arts and a businessman. His physique is quite contrasty of that of his petite wife Alena, who is a mother of [...]

After delivering the images of Je Ne Regrette Rien collection to Mrs. Anya Caliendo, couture millinery atelier, at the end of the last year, I continued working on them for my version of the slideshow. The original, featured on Mrs. Caliendo’s website, only had color images whereas my copy embraces more of post-processing experimentation and [...]

Here’s a sample from a boudoir session on Saturday done for a lovely girl Dina for her loved one. Shot in my studio after return from Arizona, on a hectic schedule… Yet, I also managed to squeeze in a meeting with another client in Manhattan that morning.
For details on the current Valentine’s Day [...]

As the romance of Valentine’s Day is starting to fill the air, I am excited to announce a special campaign primarily offered to the married ladies, “Married and Sexy”. It is built upon one of Zorz Studios’ specialties, boudoir sessions.
Boudoir, French for “pouting room”, refers to images that have themes of romance, sensuality, and flirtation. [...]

One of my faithful clients, Tania, introduced me to her friend Lika. Lika is a ballet dancer and now teaches. She requested a full-day session so we approached it with great care and attention to details, especially of wardrobe and props. Since I wasn’t available till December, we had plenty of time after our initial [...]

…I am writing this as I’m sitting in a Florida resort… Just cannot hold the result of today’s engagement session to myself. Meet Erica and Elkin, a beautiful couple whose wedding I will shoot next March in West Palm Beach, FL. Fashionable, hip, and sexy. That’s them. That’s the theme of their session, shot in [...]

This image from the series “Heirdom of Atlantis” won the first place in Fotki’s Blue Ribbon contest.
Fotki is a digital photo sharing, video sharing and media social network website and web service suite; it is one of the world’s largest social networking sites. Founded in 1998, Fotki helped me introduce myself to the world [...]

My entry won Resource Magazine’s “Classy Nudes” contest and is set to be published in the Winter issue of the magazine. This photo, entitled “In the Morning”, was taken in 2006 on a ridgetop which offers a spectacular scenic overlook of one of the Wildlife Management Areas in New Jersey.

Continuing my coverage of Anya Caliendo’s millinery collection, we gathered at a fine St. Regis Hotel in New York, NY. The session went past midnight and involved a beautiful model Irina. Due to the continued confidentiality till December, I can’t show any samples yet, other than of truly yours… (EH: see update below)
With a slight [...]

I’ve persuaded Zena, whose wedding I am shooting in October, to have a pre-wedding bridal session, solely dedicated to her beauty and being a bride. As a main advantage, I had about 2.5 hours of unrushed and relaxed studio-quality photography, filled with my normal posing “adventure” and lighting manipulation.
We started by the window with all-natural [...]

After more than three months of preparation, my first underwater session culminated in a series of marvelous unique images. The image above is just the first edit… There is so much more to come. Curiosity is too high to keep the results for weeks while in processing.
We faced a whole set of unique challenges, absent [...]
