Recent shoots, news, and developments

My summer/spring calendar got so booked up that I am having to combine some smaller shoots such as e-sessions in one day. Such was the day of July 19, when I enjoyed shooting Pamela and Steve, then Nancy and Brian, just following the day of big production for Julia and Gino.

Pamela is the founder of BagTrends, a trendy online bag store and social fashion-oriented network. I shot a boudoir session for her, so she could surprise Steve and use the images for his bachelor’s party. :) After the wedding, we are planning to do an underwater trash-the-dress session as well. A bag full of goodies! For this e-session, we went to The Plaza Hotel and used its Oak Room and the surroundings, sunk in the atmosphere of glamour, ritz, and elegance. After the hotel, we went to the Central Park across the street and finished there dancing to the sounds of jazz.

I returned to my Staten Island studio, took a quick break, and drove to Snug Harbor where I found Nancy in an amazing outfit, coupled with a cute umbrella. We lucked out with a dramatic sky which I made sure to capture combining ambient and artificial light just in the right ratio. Kudos to them for bearing with me while I was nailing the shots. Nancy is all into posing and beauty. :) Brian gets his award for supporting her! Oh, and Nancy’s mom’s advices came in handy, too. ;) Moms are always helpful, aren’t they? I know now why their package includes not one but four albums, all huge and thick…

Below are some sample shots, four from each session.
