Recent shoots, news, and developments

Greater Boston Area, MA - I attended a two-day regional workshop by Marathon. I happened to shoot a late wedding the day before and by the time I returned home and packed for the road, it was time to leave. Due to circumstances, a 3-hour trip awaited for me - a local night bus to Brooklyn, subway train, then Long Island Railroad train, and a long walk to the hotel - all to make it by 8 AM. So, why such determination?

I first heard of the company in Bambi Cantrell’s book, The Art of Wedding Photography: Professional Techniques with Style, one of my recommended books for wedding photographers. Marathon defines itself as “professional photographer’s marketing partner” and the range of their products and services certainly proves so. I took a lot from the workshop, from both the speakers and the attendees. Interestingly, the price of the workshop went up from $295 to $695 shortly after…

August 8, 2008 Update: I signed up for Marathon’s Marketing Activity Program (MAP) which will help me take my marketing to the whole new level - the level suitable for my art. You, my dear clients, will be the ones who will benefit the most from it, and it won’t take long for you to experience the beauty of it!
